A maximum resolution of 2400 enhanced dpi (dots per inch) is available along with a 600 x 600 dpi standard mode and a specialized Photo Mode.

Standard interfaces include 10/100Base-TX Ethernet for network connection USB 2.0 and a parallel port.
Paper Handling
The DX model includes an automatic duplexing unit for two-sided printing and a high-capacity paper feeder. Its input capacity is 600 sheets split between a 500-sheet standard tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray.
Processor and Memory
It is equipped with a 700 MHz processor 512 MB of RAM (expandable) and a 20 GB internal hard disk which comes standard on the DX model.
Productivity Tools
Key features include Intelligent Ready Job Pipelining custom-size pages and the ability to print only in black if a color toner runs out.
Additional Features
Other productivity enhancements include Booklet Printing SecurePrint and Remote Printing which utilize the standard hard disk.
