    Unlike toner-based laser printers, the Priport HQ7000 uses automated "cold-process" digital stenciling technology. The system burns your image into a master film roll, clamps it to a rotating ink cylinder, and presses paper against it. This design lowers operating costs to fractions of a cent per page for high-volume workflows.
  • Can the Ricoh Priport HQ7000 print on heavy card stock or envelopes?
    Yes. Because the paper moves along a flat, straight internal path without passing through high-heat fusing rollers, it easily runs heavy card stocks, pre-printed letterheads, envelopes, and multi-part NCR carbonless forms.
  • Does the standard configuration connect to a computer network?
    The base unit operates primarily as a high-speed glass copier/duplicator. To process print commands directly from a Windows or Mac computer desktop, your layout requires an optional PC print controller interface board upgrade.
