  • What is Solid Ink technology and how does it differ from laser toner?
    Instead of plastic powder or liquid cartridges, this printer uses meltable, resin-based solid ink blocks. They are clean to load, generate up to 90 percent less waste than laser cartridges, and provide brilliant, smudge-free graphics.
  • Does the Phaser 8400/B include built-in network connectivity?
    No. The base "B" configuration comes standard with USB 2.0 and parallel ports for direct computer connection. Network connectivity requires a separate Ethernet upgrade card.
  • Can I load different types of paper at the same time?
    Yes. You can place standard office paper in the lower 525-sheet drawer while concurrently using the front 100-sheet multi-purpose tray for heavy cover stocks, labels, envelopes, or transparencies.
